Jimi Hendrix exhibition

CSUDH Archives and Special Collections in the University Library presents Jimi Hendrix: “I’ll Meet You in the Next World. Don’t Be Late.” An Exhibition on the life and after-life of Jimi Hendrix.

Perhaps the greatest guitarist in the history of popular music, Hendrix died 40 years ago this September 18.

Including material collected by South Bay Historian James Osborne, as well as materials from the CSUDH Archives, the exhibition will run from August 24 through the December 17, 2010. Included will be vintage posters, magazines, newspapers, programs, and single covers as well as several album covers documenting Hendrix’s career in England, the U.S. and throughout the world.

The Archives is open from 10 to 4 Monday-Friday. Osborne will present a talk on his collection tentatively on September 16 at 3:30 pm and November 17 at 4:30 pm.
